Mumbai Railway Map, Mumbai Local Train Map

If you are new in Mumbai, You first need to understand where your start and End station is. Whether they are on different line or not. In below mummbai railway map, you will see all these four lines highlighted with different colors. There are total four lines.
(1) Central Line in Blue
(2) Western Line in Yellow
(3) Harbour Line in Pink and Green
(4) Thane-Vashi-CBD Belapur-Panvel Line in Orange.

Find out where your start and End station is. If they are on different lines then find out where those who lines meet. Suppose, you want to travel from Panvel to Andheri. Andheri is on Western Line and Panvel is on Harbour Line. You will see both these lines meet at Wadala Road Junction. So, It means you need to change the Train at Wadala Road. You can see that the Trains for Andheri comes from Mumbai CST. So, you will get your train at Wadala Road for Andheri Station. You can also find Direct Trains from Andheri to Panvel and Panvel to Andheri.

I Recommend to download and keep the Mumbai Local Train Map in your cell phone for future reference.

On this website, you can get updated train table for following lines.

The introduction of Borivali Fast trains, during peak hours in the evening, that do not stop between Andheri and Borivali has resulted in the trains emptying at Andheri (about 90%) and the remaining wanting to jump out of the train at Kandivili, then, why has the WR introduced these trains. The sight of empty trains plying between Andheri and Borivali, during peak hours, is the most ridiculous thing never witnessed during the more than four decades that I have traveled in the WR. If the WR wants to persist with this ridiculous act, then every half an hour, during peak hours, there should be fast trains upto Andheri, terminating at Goregaon, Malad and Kandivali, this will mitigate, to some extent the plight of those wanting to alight at Goregaon, Malad and Kandivili.
